Courage Basket by Little Pathway
The theme of this basket is courage and strength. The colors matching the Mussel shell.
The basket is constructed with a square bottom woven up to a round top. The four directions
coming together to form a "circle of unity". We are all connected.
The contents held within include:
A sweetgrass prayer braid, Mother Earths hair, a sweetgrass smudger, a mussel shell, heart
(glass or stone). All to be used by you, to honor your dreams, desires, and hopes.
To use the prayer braid, light the end and blow or let it burn out. Holding it over a fire safe
container, send your thoughts, prayers and wishes up with the smoke, as you face each of
the 4 directions. As the smoke rises visualize you're prayers going up and out into the
universe.
To smudge your self, others, and/or your things. Breathe, center, and ground your self.
Visualize your desire then sweep the smudger from your heart center out, in all directions,
releasing any negative energy.
End your prayers with a word of thanks (woliwoni) and a feeling of gratitude.
